Allison and Justin originally met in the theatre district in downtown Buffalo. Allison had spent the evening at the historic Shea's Theatre and Justin had taken in a film at the AMC Theatre in the significant Market Arcade Cinema Complex that same night. As fate would have it, both decided on a nightcap at Matinee, a cozy and classy lounge drawing in both theatre patrons and industry veterans.

A conversation was struck, and the adventure had begun. Allison's penchant to spend her recreational time in the theatre district with family and friends, and Justin's happenstance to be a resident of the historic Hotel Lafayette in downtown Buffalo brought common ground to two individuals. Over the course of dinners, cocktail conversations, and cultural experiences, the relationship blossomed.

As time went on, the families of Allison and Justin were brought into the fold. Memorable gatherings took place including delectable meals at Morluski's, Sports City Pizza Pub, Jazzboline, and the homes of both the bride and groom's parents. But the most important gathering of all was the dinner at Maizal, where Allison, Justin, and Jack were able to break tortillas together for the first time.

And so it was. As the calendar advanced, moves were made, birthdays and holidays were celebrated, and the good times continued to roll. But Thanksgivings and Christmases passed. New Year's Eves turned into New Year's Days. And Allison had not received a ring both families had deemed her worthy to receive.

After many moons, Justin decided he had to bring Allison back to a familiar setting if things were going to progress. Justin spun a tale, claiming he had won tickets to a play at Shea's and asked Allison if she wanted to attend. Allison accepted, and looked forward to the play, titled Funny Girl. Had Allison known Justin willingly purchased tickets to a musical, the jig would have been up. During a break at intermission, Justin swooped in and popped the question. Allison was in surprise and shock and there was, albeit brief, a pause.

Alas, Allison accepted Justin's proposal and the celebration with friends and family began immediately. But after months of consideration, we've decided the celebration must go on. And your attendance is requested. Please join us in our wedding celebration Saturday August 10, 2024.
